Start here if you are new to DeltaDaily.
1. Best first session
- Open Import
- Start with Editor's Picks
- Open Practice
- Listen once without reading the transcript
- Listen again while reading the transcript
- Save 1–3 useful words
- Record one sentence and submit it
- If you want, do one extra drill. If not, stop there.
Goal: one short, repeatable practice session — not a perfect long session.
2. What each main tab does
Recommended order for new users: Import → Practice → Vocab. Everything else can come later.
- Import — start from Editor's Picks or load your own content
- Practice — listen, read, record, and repeat sentence-by-sentence
- Vocab — your saved word bank: add/edit words, translate, and drill with spaced repetition or AI cloze
- Roleplay — realistic back-and-forth speaking practice
- Meeting — workplace-style speaking prompts
- Lectures — upload a recorded class/lecture for a transcript + AI summary
- Executive — timed summary challenge
- History — revisit earlier sessions
- Analysis — review patterns and saved performance
- Account — plan, usage, and support links
3. What to do on the Practice page
- First listen: audio only
- Second listen: read along with the transcript
- Click or tap a word to save it to Vocab
- Pick one sentence
- Record and submit
You do not need every control in one session.
4. Recommended daily routine
- 5 min — Practice sentence playback + recording
- 5 min — Vocab weak-word review
- 2–5 min — Meeting, Roleplay, or Executive
If you are busy, remember: one story, one word, one recording is enough.
5. Troubleshooting
Audio and transcript feel out of sync
Press ↻ Re-align in Practice. Prefer Ad-Free when available.
Chunks button is missing
Chunk coloring only appears when chunk data exists. Run ↻ Re-align first.
Old UI on mobile
Open DeltaDaily in a normal Safari tab, refresh, then sign in again. If needed, enable the build badge with ?buildbadge=1.
